The Society has been established for over thirty five years and
follows the NADFAS ethos of providing first class lectures, study days,
cultural visits and social events.
Our President is Stephen Sartin.
Stephen was the curator of Fine Art at the Harris Museum and Art
Gallery, Preston, from 1973 to 1986. He then joined the Lancashire
Museum Service as Curator of Art based at the Judges' Lodgings,
Lancaster. He retired in 2004 and is now employed on a part time basis
as a Associate Curator of Art to the Lancashire Museum Service.
Society meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at
Hoghton Village Hall, Blackburn Old Road, Hoghton (pictured below).
Coffee is served from 10:00 to 10:30am, followed by a lecture which
starts at 10:45am and finishes at approximately noon.
